Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Comes Up Short

Notre Dame was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to the Pocono Mountain West Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 16-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Daniel Bordas was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pocono Mountain West, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Notre Dame has already played their next contest, a 15-2 loss against Mahanoy Area on the 29th. As for Pocono Mountain West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-0 defeat against Parkland on the 28th.
