Recap: West Point Pointers vs. Northumberland Indians

The West Point Pointers lost against the Northumberland Indians on January 8th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. West Point took a 71-53 bruising from Northumberland. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Point in their matchups with Northumberland: they've now lost four in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northumberland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyreek Lundy, who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. Lundy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was MJ Laws, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.

As for Northumberland, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

West Point won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against King William at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. King William is on a three-game streak of home losses, West Point a 17-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. As for Northumberland, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Essex at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
