If Esperanza wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Segerstrom, they should've done a better job of containing Ayden Morales. The Jaguars snuck past the Aztecs with a 28-22 victory on Friday with plenty of help from Morales, who rushed for 254 yards and four scores while picking up 11.5 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 15 rushing touchdowns on the season.

Segerstrom's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB 4.5 times. Joshua Preciado was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three sacks himself. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 12.

Defeat or not, Esperanza got some senior leadership from Eddie Matthews and Travis Frazier. Matthews picked up 141 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while Frazier threw for 251 yards and two touchdowns. Matthews' longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.

The win made it two in a row for Segerstrom and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Esperanza, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
