Basketball Game Preview: San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines vs. Drew Dragons

San Francisco Waldorf and Drew are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Drew Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, San Francisco Waldorf ended up a good deal behind Gateway and lost 57-42. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1002nd, while the Gators are ranked 410th).

Meanwhile, Drew came up short against Pinewood on Saturday and fell 81-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (62), the Dragons still had to take the loss.

San Francisco Waldorf will have to contain Kian Chan as he made an impact in Drew's last game. He posted 22 points and five boards. Chan's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Nicholas Ordonez Reyes was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Drew's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for San Francisco Waldorf, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

San Francisco Waldorf ended up a good deal behind Drew when the teams last played back in January, losing 72-56. Can San Francisco Waldorf avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
