The Highland Huskies had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Roaring Fork by a score of 64-56 on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for Highland who now have seven in a row.

Briza Flores was her usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with four steals. Mary Jones was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Riley Bevington, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Bevington has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Crownhart, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Highland is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Roaring Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.

Highland will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Colorado Springs Christian at 8:45 a.m. on March 7th. Colorado Springs Christian will roll in looking for their 24th straight victory, something Highland surely won't give up without a fight.
