Basketball Recap: Bayfield Skates Past Mercer with Ease

Bayfield won the last time they faced Mercer and things went their way on Friday too. The Bayfield Trollers blew past the Mercer Tigers, posting a 99-35 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trollers.

Quintin Bresette continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 for 15 en route to 28 points and eight assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Maxwell Gordon, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Bayfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Bayfield is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.3 points per game. As for Mercer, their loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
