Baseball Game Preview: Stuart W. Cramer Storm vs. East Lincoln Mustangs

The Stuart W. Cramer Storm will head out on the road to face off against the East Lincoln Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Stuart W. Cramer's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over East Gaston. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Storm.

Stuart W. Cramer got a great performance from Mason Price as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 5.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Stuart W. Cramer's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Jennings, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits Jennings has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, East Lincoln put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against Cherryville.

Matthew Phuntek was a standout: he scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Phuntek is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Brandon Washington, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Stuart W. Cramer's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for East Lincoln, their record now sits at 3-0.
