Basketball Recap: Teague Lions vs. Rogers Eagles
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Teague can now relate to. They fell 48-40 to the Rogers Eagles on Monday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.
Rogers' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alaina Mungia led the charge by putting up 14 points and six rebounds. Mungia is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kyra Yates, who posted 11 points and three steals.
Teague's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Rogers, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season.
Teague does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rogers, they will square off against Keene on Thursday. Keene will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Rogers surely won't give up without a fight.
