Eastland proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Fulton Steamers 5-3. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The win got Eastland back to even at 7-7. As for Fulton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Looking ahead, Eastland is taking a road trip to challenge Morrison at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Fulton, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against River Ridge/Scales Mound at 4:30 p.m.
