Volleyball Game Preview: Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders vs. Otay Ranch Mustangs + How To Watch

Mater Dei Catholic is 0-10 against Otay Ranch since October of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Crusaders will take on the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Mater Dei Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Bonita Vista and fell 3-2. While the Crusaders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Barons 25-15 in the first set.

Mater Dei Catholic started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 26-28, 25-18, 25-23, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Otay Ranch didn't have quite enough to beat Eastlake on Wednesday and fell 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost six in a row.

Otay Ranch took Eastlake into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-18, 25-21, 23-25, 15-10.

Mater Dei Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 21-11. As for Otay Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 20-14.
