Newaygo's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Chippewa Hills as they made off with a 5-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Newaygo in their matchups with Chippewa Hills: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Oakridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hart.

Newaygo's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Oakridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
