Recap: Max S. Hayes Lakers vs. Glenville Tarblooders
On Friday, Max S. Hayes was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-46 to Glenville.
Max S. Hayes lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Annalysh Caraballo, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jollie Feliciano, who scored 11 points.
Glenville was led to victory by Alma Allen and Tamera Amerson. Allen scored 12 points, while Amerson scored 16 points. It was the first time this season that Amerson scored 15 or more points.
Max S. Hayes' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Glenville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Max S. Hayes will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Tech at 5:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (East Tech is ranked 798th, while Max S. Hayes is ranked 792nd). As for Glenville, they will head out on the road to square off against John Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. John Marshall's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Glenville's offense will have their work cut out for them.
