Volleyball Recap: Magnet Cove Comes Up Short

Magnet Cove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Perryville Mustangs.

While Magnet Cove had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 25-19.

Lily Gill was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 18 digs and one assist.

Magnet Cove's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Perryville, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Magnet Cove will face off against Arkadelphia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perryville, they will challenge Rose Bud at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
