Shrewsbury fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Longmeadow on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 4-1 to the Lancers. The Colonials' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Shrewsbury's loss dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Longmeadow, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Shrewsbury will head out on the road to square off against Auburn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Longmeadow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
