It's playoff time, and Academy of the Holy Names had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 35-32 victory over the Calvary Christian Warriors on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Jaguars as they're now sitting on four straight.

Academy of the Holy Names' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaye Coleman led the charge by going 5 for 6 en route to 13 points and six boards. Thanks to that strong game, Coleman now owns an excellent 45.7% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriella Teixeira, who posted 11 points and six assists.

Despite the loss, Calvary Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ellie Bross put up 13 points along with three steals and three blocks.

The victory got Academy of the Holy Names back to even at 13-13. As for Calvary Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-2.

Academy of the Holy Names didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-32 loss against Cardinal Mooney on the 6th. As for Calvary Christian, they will square off against Windermere Prep at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Windermere Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season.
