Softball Recap: Canandaigua Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hilton

Canandaigua Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilton Cadets. On the bright side, the seven- run performance marked the Braves' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Canandaigua Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cora Holtby, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That run was Holtby's first of the season. Another was Delilah Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Canandaigua Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hilton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Canandaigua Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Brockport at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hilton, they will take on Churchville-Chili at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
