Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shrine Catholic). They put the hurt on the Cranbrook Kingswood Cranes with a sharp 71-51 win on Friday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Cranes recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Despite the loss, Cranbrook Kingswood had strong showings from Madeline Day, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 12 points along with seven assists and seven steals, and Justine Casey, who posted 13 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Casey a new career-high in assists (four). Iris Kozak was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Shrine Catholic now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Cranbrook Kingswood, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shrine Catholic will host Our Lady of the Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Our Lady of the Lakes' defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Shrine Catholic's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Cranbrook Kingswood, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against New Standard Academy at 7:00 p.m.
