Essex Tech unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Amesbury Redhawks on Friday, falling 38-14. The Hawks have struggled against the Redhawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Looking ahead, Essex Tech will face off against Wilmington at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Amesbury, they will challenge Triton Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
