Soccer Recap: East Ascension Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, East Ascension was not quite Dutchtown's equal in the second half on Friday. They came up short against the Dutchtown Griffins, falling 5-1. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Griffins from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

East Ascension's goal came courtesy of Clayton Delaune, who's now up to four this season.

East Ascension has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8-5 record this season. As for Dutchtown, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-8-5.

East Ascension does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dutchtown has already played their next contest (against Newman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
