Softball Recap: Loveland Red Wolves vs. Mountain View Mountain Lions

Loveland gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They never let the Mountain View Mountain Lions get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Red Wolves haven't had any issues with the Mountain Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Izabelle Tilton made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Addi Christopher was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Forgey, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Loveland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain View only posted a batting average of .235.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loveland will face off against Poudre at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Red Wolves their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Mountain View, they will square off against Resurrection Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
