Softball Recap: Banning Comes Up Short

Banning lost against Carson back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pilots lost 11-3 to the Colts. The Pilots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sharon Su'e and Kourtney Talanoa did some serious damage despite the final result: Su'e went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple, while Talanoa went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double. Talanoa is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Banning's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Carson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1-1.

Looking ahead, Banning will head out on the road to face off against South at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carson, they will square off against Rancho Dominguez at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Lobos have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.63 runs per game on average), something the Colts will no doubt try to take advantage of.
