Baseball Game Preview: Disney II Titans vs. Chicago Academy Cougars

Disney II is 1-6 against Chicago Academy since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Disney II will host Chicago Academy at 1:00 p.m. Chicago Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Disney II, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Disney II made easy work of Rauner and carried off a 14-4 win.

Victor Rivera was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Avery Coughlin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Disney II always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rauner only posted an OBP of .423.

Meanwhile, Chicago Academy came up short against Morgan Park on Thursday and fell 9-4.

Jayden Glover was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

Disney II's victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for Chicago Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Disney II took their win against Chicago Academy in their previous matchup last Tuesday by a conclusive 19-3. Will Disney II repeat their success, or does Chicago Academy has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
