Basketball Preview: Archbishop McNicholas Rockets vs. Anderson Raptors

Archbishop McNicholas is 7-2 against the Raptors since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Archbishop McNicholas Rockets will head out on the road to face off against the Anderson Raptors at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Archbishop McNicholas pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-55 bruising from Chaminade Julienne Catholic.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Mitchell Conrad, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Clark, who scored 18 points.

Meanwhile, Anderson pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Milford by a score of 62-59. It was the first time this season that Anderson let down their fans at home.

Archbishop McNicholas' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. As for Anderson, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-6.

Things could have been worse for Archbishop McNicholas, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-42 loss to the Raptors when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Archbishop McNicholas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
