Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Hills Comes Up Short

Bloomfield Hills was the 64-46 winner over Troy when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks fell to the Troy Colts 49-45.

Despite the loss, Bloomfield Hills still got an impressive performance from Briana Young, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. That was a full 44.4% of Bloomfield Hills' points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Evia Barbu, who put up ten points and five rebounds.

Bloomfield Hills has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Troy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Bloomfield Hills will welcome Groves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Troy, they will head out to square off against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rochester will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Troy surely won't give up without a fight.
