Volleyball Recap: Livermore Comes Up Short

Livermore lost against Dublin last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cowboys fell 3-1 to the Gaels.

Livermore started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Livermore saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Samuel Walter had 15 digs. Walter is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Livermore has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-14 record this season. As for Dublin, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Livermore is set to challenge their familiar foe Granada at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dublin will take on rival Dougherty Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
