Soccer Recap: Warren Township Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Warren Township's offense. They fell just short of the Waukegan Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Warren Township came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Waukegan are ranked 288th).

This is the second loss in a row for Warren Township and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Waukegan, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Warren Township will face off against rival Zion-Benton at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Waukegan is set to challenge their familiar foe Stevenson at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
