It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Mendon ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Canandaigua Academy Braves. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Mendon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samuel Harrigan, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Mendon's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Canandaigua Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Mendon will challenge Batavia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canandaigua Academy, they will face off against Aquinas Institute at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
