Baseball Game Preview: Bullard Knights vs. Hanford West Huskies

The Bullard Knights will take on the Hanford West Huskies at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bullard 3.7, Hanford West 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Bullard's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Clovis West by a score of 4-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Meanwhile, Hanford West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Highland.

King Mitre was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Bullard's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hanford West, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Bullard came out on top in a nail-biter against Hanford West in their previous matchup back in February of 2018, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
