West End waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Cedar Bluff Tigers. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 5-0 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2022.

Braylee King made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up a single walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, Liddy Falkner was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits she has posted over her last ten games. Another player making a difference was DaLeigha Wheeler, who went 4-for-5 with two RBI.

West End was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .395. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cedar Bluff only posted a batting average of .160.

West End pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Cedar Bluff, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

West End will face off against Cleveland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West End's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Cleveland's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cedar Bluff, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Cedar Bluff Tigers challenge Sand Rock Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
