Volleyball Recap: Makayla Henry and Kaitlyn Palermino Secure Win for Desert Edge + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Canyon View, Desert Edge was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the North Canyon Rattlers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Desert Edge was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18, 25-20.

Desert Edge was led to victory by Kaitlyn Palermino and Makayla Henry. Palermino had 22 digs and one assist, while Henry had nine assists and eight aces. Those 22 digs gave Palermino a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brin Randall, who had five aces.

Desert Edge now has a winning record of 11-10. As for North Canyon, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Desert Edge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Verrado on the 16th. As for North Canyon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Paradise Valley on the 16th.
