 The Clifton Central Comets suffered their biggest  defeat yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Beecher on the road  and fell  85-53. Clifton Central has struggled against Beecher recently, as their  contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Clifton Central's loss  came despite strong showings from  Perry Mason and  Cameron Meents.  Mason  scored ten points, while  Meents  scored eight points along with seven  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Peyton Chandler, who  scored eight points.
 Clifton Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Beecher, the  win for they keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clifton Central won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against La Salette Academy at 2:30  p.m.  on January 20th. La Salette Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.9  points per game. As for Beecher, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Grace Christian Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The timing isn't great for Grace Christian Academy: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Beecher has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
