Westfield entered their tilt with Franklin Central on Friday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They strolled past the Franklin Central Flashes with points to spare, taking the game 53-37. Given the Shamrocks' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Flashes are ranked 100th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jalen Malone led the charge by putting up ten points. Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westfield will venture away from home to square off against Mt. Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mt. Vernon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Franklin Central, they will head out to take on Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 7:30 p.m. on February 28th.
