Softball Recap: Edwards Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Edwards's offense. They came up short against the Yazoo County Panthers on Thursday, falling 16-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Edwards' loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Yazoo County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Edwards wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 20-4 defeat against Humphreys County on the 12th. As for Yazoo County, they have also already played their next game, an 8-3 win against Morton on the 11th.
