Football Recap: Noblesville Takes a Loss

Noblesville had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-2 to make it eight. They lost 42-17 to the Fishers Tigers. The Millers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-3.

Despite the loss, Noblesville still got an impressive performance from Noah Shinkle, who rushed for 66 yards and two TDs.

As for Fishers, they now have a winning record of 2-1. They haven't had any issues with Noblesville recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fishers to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Thembulembu, who rushed for 124 yards and three scores on only nine carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Thembulembu a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincent Rozzi, who picked up 225 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Noblesville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 41-7 defeat against Westfield on the 12th. As for Fishers, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-16 win against Hamilton Southeastern on the 12th.
