Soccer Recap: Treutlen Comes Up Short

Treutlen lost against Hawkinsville back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Treutlen fell just short of Hawkinsville by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time Treutlen couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

Treutlen's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Hawkinsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Treutlen is set to challenge their familiar foe Georgia Military College at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hawkinsville will square off against rival Johnson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Hawkinsville's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Johnson County has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
