Basketball Recap: Northside Patriots vs. Harris County Tigers

The Northside Patriots can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They blew past Harris County 63-38. That looming 63-38 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Northside yet this season.

Barrington Adams was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. Nathan Saylor was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Harris County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cameron Phillips, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Malachi Alexander, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.

Northside's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-14. As for Harris County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northside is on the road again on Friday and plays the at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. One thing working in Drew's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Harris County, they will head out on the road to face off against the Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully McIntosh focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday.
