Soccer Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Hudson

Hudson proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the Jackson Polar Bears 1-0. Given Hudson's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Jackson are ranked 185th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hudson's one-goal win came courtesy of William Hallis, who's now up to 16 this season.

Hudson pushed their record up to 10-3-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Jackson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-4 record this season.

Hudson will head out to take on North Royalton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Wooster at 7:00 p.m.
