Basketball Preview: Doss Dragons vs. Ballard Bruins
Doss has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Ballard Bruins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Doss will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Bruins are ranked 89th).
Last Tuesday, Doss came up short against the Chargers and fell 62-51.
Meanwhile, even though Beth Haven scored an imposing 66 points on Thursday, Ballard still came out on top. Ballard took their match against the Bearcats 78-66. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ballard.
Doss dropped their record down to 4-15 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Ballard, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
Doss came up short against the Bruins when the teams last played back in January of 2019, falling 73-62. Can Doss avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
