Softball Recap: Fort Lauderdale Wins Going Away Against Boyd Anderson

The Fort Lauderdale Flying L made easy work of the Boyd Anderson Cobras on Wednesday and carried off a 16-1 win. The Flying L's might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Sophia Quesada looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Quinn McFadden was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Kylie Keenan was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI.

Fort Lauderdale's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Boyd Anderson, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Fort Lauderdale will face off against Pembroke Pines Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Boyd Anderson, they will head out to face off against Northeast at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
