Basketball Game Preview: Richmond Red Devils vs. Purdue Polytechnic Techies

The Richmond Red Devils will take on the Purdue Polytechnic Techies in a tournament on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Richmond came up short against Batesville and fell 54-42. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 98th).

Meanwhile, Purdue Polytechnic unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Guerin Catholic 54-50.

Purdue Polytechnic's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Richmond, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
