Bonner Springs's defeat came about despite a quality game from junior Bryce Krone, who rushed for 224 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Tonganoxie's victory lifted them to 1-2 while Bonner Springs's loss dropped them down to 1-2. In their victory, Tonganoxie relied heavily on senior Korbin Riedel, who rushed for 151 yards and 4 touchdowns. Bonner Springs will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
