Softball Recap: Tipton Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tipton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Elwood Panthers by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-7 on May 5th.

Lacey Bitner was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Makayla Schinlaub, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.

Tipton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18-1. As for Elwood, they moved to 8-18 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Tipton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elwood, they will face off against Lapel at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
