Northwest barely beat Southeast Polk the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 8-2 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Northwest's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-4. As for Southeast Polk, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest will head out to square off against Bishop Heelan Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southeast Polk, they will venture away from home to challenge Urbandale at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
