Basketball Recap: Peoples Baptist Academy Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bible Baptist Christian, Peoples Baptist Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They snuck past the Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS with a 73-67 win. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered an 87-52 loss the last time these two teams met.

Aaron Cramer was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 37 points and 15 rebounds. Brayden Sweatman was another key player, putting up 11 points.

When it comes to explaining why Trinity Christian School of Griffin lost, don't look at Israel Lockridge. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 15 en route to 32 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. Lockridge's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Travone Appling, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

Peoples Baptist Academy's record now sits at 9-3. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

Peoples Baptist Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-39 victory against Old Suwanee Christian on the 30th. Trinity Christian School of Griffin has also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lafayette Christian on the 29th.
