Volleyball Recap: Highland Wins Going Away Against Wauzeka-Steuben

Highland had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-17.

Highland can attribute much of their success to BRINLEIGH BOLLANT, who had eight digs and three aces.

BOLLANT wasn't the only good servers: Highland was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matches.

Highland's record now sits at 21-4. As for Wauzeka-Steuben, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight matches and leaves them with a 13-6 record.

Looking ahead, Highland will challenge Wonewoc-Center on Saturday. Wauzeka-Steuben does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
