Oak Park waltzed into their contest on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 49-41 win over the Kearney Bulldogs. Given the Northmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jocelyn Lincoln and Brooke Paalhar certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Lincoln posted eight points and eight boards, while Paalhar earned eight points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedi Casey, who scored eight points.

Oak Park's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Kearney, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Oak Park will venture away from home to challenge Parkway South at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kearney, they will face off against Park Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
