Baseball Game Preview: San Gabriel Matadors vs. Alhambra Moors

For the second straight game, San Gabriel will face off against Alhambra. The Matadors will challenge the Moors at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. San Gabriel has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 1.

San Gabriel lost 22-1 to Alhambra on Monday.

For Alhambra's part, Enicio Torres was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Torres a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Yuuta Ngo, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.

Torres wasn't the only one making solid contact: Alhambra kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Alhambra has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for San Gabriel, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
