Recap: Wells Leopards vs. Wendover Wildcats
The Wells Leopards suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 52-20 defeat at the hands of Wendover. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wells in their matchups with Wendover: they've now lost four in a row.
Wendover had a senior duo take command as Kadence Murphy scored 14 points along with five rebounds and Gaby Delgadillo scored 11 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Murphy has scored all season. Millie Hicks was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Wendover, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wells will play host again and welcome McDermitt, where tip off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wendover, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Tabiona at 5:30 p.m. Tabiona is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
