Softball Game Preview: Central York Panthers vs. Warwick Warriors

The Central York Panthers will head out to face off against the Warwick Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central York is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Central York came out on top against Cumberland Valley on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 14-run fifth inning. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Central York got a massive performance out of Logan Craiger, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave Craiger a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Katie DeBell, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Warwick ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Penn Manor 4-3. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Central York's record is now 8-4. As for Warwick, their record now sits at 7-4.

Central York skirted past Warwick 3-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
