Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ava Tipton and Madi Broome Lead Kings Mountain to Victory

Kings Mountain won the last time they faced Sun Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mountaineers blew past the Spartans 3-0. The Mountaineers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 12th (when they won 3-0).

Kings Mountain never let Sun Valley on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 26-24.

Kings Mountain was led to victory by Madi Broome and Ava Tipton. Broome had eight digs and three aces, while Tipton had 13 digs. That's the most aces Broome has posted over her last six matchups. Sarah Bouchard also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Kings Mountain's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Sun Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Kings Mountain will challenge East Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sun Valley, they will face off against Weddington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Spartans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
